Accessibility

AMDai is a public documentation site. Visitors use phones, keyboards, and screen readers. This page records what we test and how to tell us when something is in the way.

What we test

  • axe-core on every built page, in the default dark theme and the light theme. Serious and critical findings fail npm run qa:a11y.
  • Keyboard: a skip-to-content link, a visible focus ring, Path / Tools / Learn menus (Enter, Space, Escape, arrow keys), and the calculator and Qwen compare filters without a mouse.
  • Live-region announcements when calculator totals change.
  • prefers-reduced-motion: decorative motion stops.
  • Mobile widths 360, 390, and 768. Wide tables scroll in their own container. Inputs stay at 16px so iOS does not zoom.

Last pass

Automated plus keyboard and mobile pass: 13 October 2026. The dated axe report is written next to the site-wide link QA reports under artifacts/link-reports/ and reports/.

Use the existing public routes — we do not publish a separate inbox on this page. Start on Contact for the current list.

  • Contact — corrections, sponsorship or partnership inquiries, and data questions.
  • Forum — threads when the forum is on; the code of conduct still applies when it is off.
  • Contribute — recipe JSON and sourced notes. Say the page URL, the browser, and whether you were on a phone or a keyboard.
